From San Francisco
via the Bay Bridge...
Cross the Bay Bridge (Hwy
80 East) - once off the bay bridge, stay in the left lane and follow
signs leading to Berkeley or Sacramento.
Take Hwy 80 East past
Emeryville and just past Berkeley to the 580 West (follow signs
for "580 Point Richmond & San Rafael"). Continue on 580
West for about 8 miles.
Take the "RICHMOND
PKWY / PT. RICHMOND" EXIT (two exits before the Richmond
/ San Rafael Bridge - do NOT go over this bridge). At the end of the
exit ramp at the stoplight, turn LEFT onto CASTRO ST. Stay in the left lane & go under the freeway, through another quick stoplight & make an immediate LEFT onto TEWKSBURY AVE (NOTE: The street sign is not visible, however, there is a large green sign saying "Point Richmond" with an arrow pointing to the left).
Make your SECOND RIGHT
onto WASHINGTON AVE. Go one short block and VEER LEFT onto PARK
PLACE. Make the next LEFT onto WEST RICHMOND.
We are the third business on your left, The Nova Studio, at 24 W. Richmond,
in a cute golden yellow one-story building with cobalt blue double doors.
If you reach RAILROAD AVE. or cross the railroad tracks, you've gone
just a bit too far.
From San Francisco via
the Golden Gate Bridge...
Follow Hwy 101 to San Rafael
- about 20 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Follow signs
to Hwy 580 East and the Richmond / San Rafael Bridge.
Cross the
"Richmond / San Rafael Bridge" going EAST on Highway
580. Take the RICHMOND PKWY / PT. RICHMOND EXIT (first exit
after the bridge). Continue straight through the first stop light and make a RIGHT at SECOND STOP LIGHT (Castro St.) and immediately get into the LEFT
LANE to make the first LEFT onto TEWKSBURY AVE.
PARKING can easily be found right near the studio, on either side of W. Richmond
Ave., or the closest cross streets: Tunnel Ave., Park Place or Railroad
Ave. Most of the parking has a 2 hour limit (no parking meters, just
time limits) during the week, from 8am-6pm, so for just about all classes,
this time limit is not an issue.
QUESTIONS? Call the
studio at 510-234-5700. Please be aware
that if you call last minute or during class, someone may not be available
to answer the phone. Please plan ahead and research/print your directions
prior to the day of class.
