Have you
heard about artist trading cards, or ATC's as they are known throughout
the world? These 2 ½" by 3 ½" works of
art are created by crafters and artists alike and traded through
group swaps and one-on-one via an on-line network as well as at
face to face meet ups.
ATC's are the same
size as a standard sports trading card or playing card, which
can be used as a base. Although ATC materials can range from fabric
to wood to plastic - we will focus on paper collage techniques
to create 4 or more vintage inspired cards. We will follow the
background/focal point/embellishment process, which enables the
artist to quickly create detailed and layered ATC's you will be
proud to own and trade. Diane will also discuss the Yahoo group
and explain the swapping and RAK process.
Create Impressive Mini Art Works in Minutes!
The materials fee covers
everything you need:
playing cards and card stock for the base; several background
papers and ephemera; vintage reproduction images and an assortment
of stickers, brads and doodads to add texture and interest to
your ATC's. In addition you will create a special coordinated
folder to carry your ATC's home!
