Join Diane as she takes you on yet another creative thrill ride. We will start by creating various hand painted papers to use in our collage, including stamping, glazing, texturing and stenciling on Deli paper. To create our "box" we will prepare a vintage book using gel medium, gesso, paints and glazes. We will create a window using mica sheets, add some gold and copper leaf and tape, and hand painted wooden feet will complete our box. We will create a fibre and wire bird's nest to fill our niche and collage the cover using vintage ephemera. You will leave at the end of the day with a stunning Hidden Keepsake Altered Book Jewel Box.

The materials fee covers everything you need, but feel free to bring your own favorite photos or ephemera to be incorporated into your altered book. Please bring a brown bag lunch and your own X-acto knife if you have one!
