Take your
altered books to the next level with a class in advanced collage
techniques. We will expand on Diane's proven method, three steps
to create altered pages: Background, Focal Point and Embellishment.
Create special background effects with paints, glazes, powders
and metal leaf.
Create intricate structures like niches, windows, doors, hidden
pockets and pop-ups.
Experiment with various uses for transparencies to add depth and
drama on your pages.
Learn how to add embellishments using special adhesives.
We will
also discuss what makes an altered page special and how to recreate
pages you would see in design books or on-line.
Your
journey has begun, keep the creative juices flowing...
Learn new and impressive altered book techniques!
Please bring
a brown bag lunch and your own altered book to play in - one you have started as a sample
technique book - or a book that has yet to be altered. The materials
fee covers all other necessary components to create several altered
pages. You will leave with dozens of paper craft techniques and
ideas to take your Altered Books to the next level.
