Are you thinking about selling your arts and crafts online? Do you already have an online presence but you want to increase sales and exposure? This workshop is for you whether you are an established online seller or just venturing into online sales for the first time.
On Cyber Monday – which is the Monday following Thanksgiving (generally considered to be the day people stop going to the malls and return to their computers for some online holiday shopping) - the art and craft sales venue known as etsy received over 8 million page views, alone. That was one site, on one day! With the computer savvy generation known as millennials coming of age and ready to decorate and gift give – the time to create and expand your online sales presence is now.
Join us during this enlightening workshop as we detangle the differences between selling on eBay, etsy, other online venues, or even your own website. We'll discuss best practices, online marketing, and cyber sales tips and techniques.
We will cover:
- eBay, etsy, and other online sales venues.
- www . Your Products . com ~ Ready for your own website?
- PayPal, Credit Cards, or “my check’s in the mail” - and other payment considerations.
- Putting your art and craft product’s best foot forward in a cyber world.
- Marketing your cyber shop both online and in the real world.
- Preliminary legal, tax, and other nitty gritty considerations.
Students will leave the workshop better prepared to enter the world of online selling, or expand their present efforts to see a better return. Each participant will receive a handout that includes resources discussed in class.
