Mystified by the local arts and craft show circuit?  Intimidated by application processes or stymied by logistics?  Whether you are a veteran craft show seller or a new artist hoping to get started, this workshop will have something to offer you.

Workshop participants will learn how and where to locate show listings, how to prioritize one opportunity over another, and how to put their product’s best foot forward when applying for a show. The workshop is rounded out with a session on best practices and smart selling in a craft show environment.

We will cover:

  • How to find Art and Craft Show Listings
  • The Differences Between Fairs / Shows / Trunk Shows / etc.
  • Show Application Processes and Best Practices
  • Being Prepared Ahead of Time – Show Logistics
  • Smart Marketing and Building your Mailing List During a Show
  • Price Points, Freebies, and other Table Attractions
  • Closing a Sale ~ Ending a Show with Cash in Hand

Students will leave the workshop prepared to enter or expand their efforts in the Northern California Art and Craft Show Arena. Every participant will receive a handout that includes resources discussed in class.
