We have "Natural Baby Products" for the babies, but this one is for the moms!
Come and discover how to make your own natural products that will enhance the wonderful yet challenging journey of motherhood. In this class, you will learn to make three beneficial 100% natural products ideal for new mothers or moms-to-be:
- Breast & Belly Butter (with infused oils)
- Soothing Leg Gel (with aloe vera)
- Calming Aromatic Spritzer (with plant hydrosols)
This class will also give you good basic primer on the healing properties and safe use of essential oils, plant infusions and aromatic waters during and after pregnancy. Students will be able to customize two of the three finished products to suit their preference.
You'll take home a 2 oz. jar of breast & belly butter, 2 oz. bottle of leg gel & a 2 oz. aromatic mister, as well as handouts, recipes and a recommended supplier list. All products made in this class are 100% NATURAL (they are free from synthetic ingredients and preservatives) and make wonderful gifts.
ABOUT THE TEACHER:
Alice Duvernell is an artist & gilder who recently moved to the Bay Area after living in the south of France for the past 8 years. There she started researching problematic & sensitive skin types & developed an interest in the amazing virtues of essential oils & hydrosols. Her interest in culture & her studies in anthropology led her to travel in South America where she expanded her passion & awareness in native medicinal plants. During her last journey to Brazil, she set up a laboratory where she shared with the locals her techniques for making hydrosols & other cosmetics, using native plants. Alice currently teaches Handmade Hydrosols & Fresh Facial Masks (wet): Exfoliating & Moisturizing, Natural Spa Facial Products (dry) and Aromatherapy Mama & Baby Products at The Nova Studio.
