Now in one class - products to pamper both mom & baby - naturally!
Alice Duvernell is an aromatherapy and herbal practitioner from France. She is currently teaching about the use of essential oils, hydrosols, herbs, and fresh fruits and grains for beauty. Alice is a new mommy since September 2007 when she gave birth to her beautiful little girl Onatah.
Developing her interest in safe cosmetics (paraben and chemical free) for moms and babies, she has created this course offering the tools for pregnant women and moms to create their own custom-made body care products. You will learn the healing properties and safe use of essential oils, hydrosols, infused plants and carrier oils, and gentle aromatherapy for moms, babies, children & elders. This class will give you the tools to create delicious body balms, gels & spritzers that can be used by anyone of any age. They are also preservative-free, so would be great for anyone interested in all-natural cosmetics.
For the NATURAL MOM we will create:
For the NATURAL BABY we will create:
You'll take home nicely packaged samples of all 6 products made in class, as well as handouts & recipes. All products made in this class are 100% NATURAL (they are free from synthetic ingredients and preservatives). Also, there will be a break for lunch, so please bring a brown bag lunch or lunch money.
ABOUT THE TEACHER:
Alice Duvernell is an artist & gilder who recently moved to the Bay Area after living in the south of France for the past 8 years. There she started researching problematic & sensitive skin types & developed an interest in the amazing virtues of essential oils & hydrosols. Her interest in culture & her studies in anthropology led her to travel in South America where she expanded her passion & awareness in native medicinal plants. During her last journey to Brazil, she set up a laboratory where she shared with the locals her techniques for making hydrosols & other cosmetics, using native plants. Alice currently teaches Handmade Hydrosols & Fresh Facial Masks (wet): Exfoliating & Moisturizing, Natural Spa Facial Products (dry) and Aromatherapy Mama & Baby Products at The Nova Studio.
