Soap & Cosmetic Labeling
with Marie Gale
 |
This 4-hour workshop, taught by the former President of the Handcrafted Soapmakers Guild, will cover what nearly ALL products require on the label, no matter what they are (cosmetic, soap, household, etc.) such as determining if your product is a cosmetic, soap, drug, "consumer commodity" or something else, the different options for labeling soap, how to determine the right size and placement for the required information, ingredient listings, and a newly formatted hands-on workshop to review or design your product labels. Attendees will be (hands-on) applying the information to the labels of three of their own products that they bring to class. If you are planning on selling your soap or bath & body products, you won't want to miss this workshop!

Packaging Your
Bath & Body Products
with Joan McCoy
 |
This class covers choosing the appropriate packaging for soap, lotions, creams, body butters, lip balms, bath melts, solid salt scrubs, fizzy bath bombs, tub tea, wash bags, facial products, perfumes, massage oils, body powders, milk baths, and more! “Packaging” is a broad term but we will attempt to cover as much as possible in three hours, including containers, bags, labels, embellishments, and some gift packaging ideas. We will cover the "Do’s & Don’ts" of packaging, green or eco-friendly packaging, and market trends. Finally, using other bath & body product makers as examples, we'll examine packaging philosophies, and their trials and triumphs.
